Achievements.
We are proud that Punjab United has grown and become a community icon, having represented the city at the highest level in soccer in Edmonton and Alberta. Amazingly, many of the players from 1979 are still active today.
As the new generation takes stewardship of the Club, we look back to the past 31 years of friendship and wonderful memories.
- 1979 – Club formation
- 1980 – First Club Team entered into Outdoor competition (Division X – Edmonton & District Soccer Association)
- 198x – First Club Team entered into Indoor competition (Division X – Edmonton & District Soccer Association)
- 198y – First Club Team entered into Mini World Cup Indoor competition to represent Team India
- 199x – First organized Punjabi Sports Tournament in Edmonton
- 199y – First club entry for Sports Tournament in Calgary
- 199z – first club entry for Sports Tournament in Kamloops
- 199z – first club entry for Sports Tournament in Prince George
- 199z – first club entry for Sports Tournament in Vancouver/Surrey
- 2004 – 25th Anniversary celebrations and preliminary action plan for 2020
- 2007 – First entry of Women Team India in Mini World Cup
- 2008 – Men’s Team promoted to Premier Division
- 2009 – Mini World Cup Winners (Men)
- 2009 – Highest Ladies achievement (defeated England and tied with Mexico)
- 2010 – Mini World Cup Winners (Men Heritage and Women Heritage) – Record set in out history
